40,000

Just surpassed the 40,000 achievement points mark (1558 Achievements unlocked) on my XBOX 360 with the achievement “Campaign Complete: Legendary (125)” from Halo 3. It’s been a long and interesting trip. Many good games and just as many bad… Lets hope 50,000 isn’t to far away.

Rapala Trophies (xbox 360)

According to theliveeye.com I spent 4 days, 4 hours, 10 minutes playing this game. Which at the moment of posting ranks 4th on time of games played since Thursday, August 02, 2007 (UTC)

The game is nowhere near worthy of that time, but being that XBOX 360 have achievements I spent that time trying to get them. Due to failure at the developers end and bugs in the game it’s only possible to get 720 out of 1000. I manage to get 700 of those.  The game is time consuming to say the least.

It’s a nice concept but plainly the developers never fished a day in their life.

You toss the lure in the water and real it in. When the lure icon blinks red you stop reeling and the fish majority of the time will bite.

Each lake has certain hot spots for the fish and can be fished constantly day after day in the tournaments and never seem to run out of fish.

But being that I like fishing despite the other comments saying pretty much what I said, I played it, and once I started I wanted to maximize my achievements.

Best thing 360 has ever done.

It’s 2008 already?

I have not posted in ages. Every Attempt to maintain a blog has crashed just at lift-off. It’s the dang faulty parts keeping me down. And I still buy the Junker :-P

Not much going on in life. I have been spending heavy amounts of time with 360 Gamming.  There are so many recent games that have been released and just not enough time to play them all.

I have gotten through some of them, but even with them there are still achievements I’d like to get.

So yeah, me alive, and now going back to gaming :-P

Ninety-Nine Nights (XBOX 360)

First impression is WOW… The graphics are AWESOME. Even during game play the graphics are killer, the sound is rich.

But then you get to game play. It’s the first game I have played with this style, a style that cannot be easily described. For those we have seen the first Lord of the Rings, during the intro when Sauron swings his sword and hundreds of men fly off, that is exactly the game style.

It’s you (and most of the time allies; who can’t kill for the life of them) against hundreds to thousands of enemies. You walk into the on-coming hoard and hack and slash till you kill them all.  It gets very repetitive even with the different move combo’s. You get different weapons with different stats, but besides the design of the weapon, not much else is different in game play.

The story line gets repetitive also. It’s one story, although each character you play the story changes a little, but over all you see the same places and kill the same amount of hoard.

The biggest turn-off is the lack of save points. Each mission can last 10 minutes or up to 30 plus minutes, without a save point. So if you die, you have to re-start it over. That part just BLOWS the big one. That makes this game so not worth playing. Few times the last boss kicked me a new one and then having to restart was not fun. You loss everything, things you collected from chest, Kills, XP. It’s like playing 30 minutes for nothing.

It’s was worth renting the game. I have enjoyed it overall. It’s a different kind of game play style, with killer graphic and a good story.

But no way is it worth 60 dollars.

Call of Duty 2 (XBOX 360)

I destroyed this game over the past week. It took me 4 or 5 days and around 12 hours a day to do it, on Hardened mode (The toughest there is) but it got destroyed.

Story-wise the game was fun and entertaining. I have not played the previous Call of Duty or any other WWII First Person Shooter (FPS) ever, so this was a new experience. Getting to drive a British tank was the best part.

You can tell this was a PC game brought over to XBOX 360 because the graphic where not up to 360 Standards. Not the first game to do it and not the last.

A.I.  Supposedly the AI was suppose to good; and without playing the previous version or another similar style game; I cannot confirm if it was or not. To me as a newbie, parts of it were impressive but other parts just stunk.
But overall I enjoyed it.

I have not tired the Online aspects of this game. Mainly because I do not have a “Gold Account”

I would recommend getting it for the PC over 360 simply because the price of the 360 would not be worth it. It came with the 360 system when I bought it.
